Hi there!!
Here comes another guy from Scandinavia. I'm born, raised, and I still live in Norway....the land of the midnight sun, and the trolls!!! (those scary creatures with long noses, a big stomach, and four fingers on each hand). They can be cute too.....
My name is Espen, 29, trying to make a living of my music....and I don't give up that easily!!
My brother was a big inspiration for me as a little kid, as he played old tunes from Blondie and Rod Stewart http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/cool.gif. Some years later I got my first keyboard. I was a proud owner of a Technics KN600....anybody know this one? http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Throughout my teens I didn't do as much music as I should. Actually it wasn't until I attended Berklee College of Music in '97, that I really found my path. And today I play around in three different bands in Norway, and I'm happy with that http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif
My musical interests are many: Jazz (Herbie Hancock, Joey Calderazzo, Chet Baker etc), pop (Toto, Sting, Jamiroquay), blues (mostly piano-blues from guys like Memphis Slim, Dr John, James Booker, Ray Charles), funk (Herbie Hancock, James Brown, The Meters). And of course lots more.
My gear: ( Not much, but for the moment I'm only doing live gigs, no home studio for me. I'm planning to buy the Digi 001 and a Mac this fall).
Yamaha P80
Yamaha EX-5
Korg CX-3 with Leslie 900
I will also upgrade my collection with a Rhodes, and some analog keys.
Regards from
Espen
