analogman1
Any idea which expansion packs are good? So far there are a TON of patches just with the stock sounds!!! Thanks so much to all who mentioned it!!! Quote Tom Nord Electro 5D, Modal Cobalt 8, Yamaha upright piano, numerous plug-ins...
Mark Schmieder
The Streetly Tapes special effects add-on has some interesting stuff from the BBC archives that might prove useful in certain contexts. I sold all of my G-Force stuff over the course of the past few months, but had all of the add-ons, some of which were free but limited availability (e.g. holiday gifts). In some cases I wasn't sure why the add-ons were targeted towards M-Tron Pro vs. Virtual String Machine. For instance, the Rhodes Piano Bass. Thanks so much to all who mentioned it!!! Above anything else, get the Chamberlin pack. Its a lot of our classic favorites, but far cleaner & sweeter. The Streetly variants have their places for historical specialists and the Optigan pack is weirdly amusing, but the Chamberlin is the one major component missing from the generous presets. I always stack a small reverb and EQ on it. That makes it pretty easy to drive the thing to all the right places. Play the BBC sound FX at parties, amuse your friends. Your synth friends, anyway. Bucktunes
Mac users only. guess I'll have to wait. I almost ripped the pocket out of my jeans digging for my debit card until I found that out. I guess I'll have to hold on to my money a little longer. Quote ><> Steve
Mark Schmieder
Yes, Chamberlin is great and was my preferred source before I switched to Arturia's arguably less authentic but sweeter-to-my-ears Mellotron model.
