Morrissey
This new Scary Pockets video has a ton of great vintage keyboards around the studio in the background. What's your favorite one you spot? What board is Jack Conte playing? [video:youtube]

Doerfler
Is he playing a Valente? Indeed, however I cannot hear it at all in the mix
MAJUSCULE
Oh cool, I didn't realize VV had competition. I'm assuming it's the Wurly-type sound? Website mentions reeds. Quote Eric Website Gear page

Website mentions reeds.Yeah, and at $3k US, actually not as expensive as I thought it would be. Just a good piece of information to file away... Man, I gotta tell you, I'm not sure if it's that I've always been a grouchy old man or what, but as much as I sometimes dig the Scary Pockets crew, these funk rearrangements of every popular song under the sun really get under my skin sometimes, which is weird, because in theory I'm into that sort of thing... I'm wondering if it bothers me because the arrangements are often completely removed from the lyrical content. That's definitely true of this one. Sorry to grumble and get us off track, though. Yes! Many pretty instruments! Me likey! Quote Samuel B. Lupowitz Musician. Songwriter. Food Enthusiast. Bad Pun Aficionado.

MAJUSCULE
I was listening on my laptop speakers, so don't trust my judgment. And yeah Sam, they've never really blown me away with much. Certainly some good grooves with the calibre of players they have at their disposal, but I guess that's life in a YT world, gotta get content out regularly, rather than sit on stuff and select the best performances. Dave Bryce
Her vocal mic (the bigger one) is an AEA KU5A. I'm a big fan. I use one of those for live vox....or I did, anyway back when there was such a thing as live gigs. dB Quote ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <==
