Anderton Posted May 26, 2020 Share Posted May 26, 2020 For what it's worth...a lot of rehearsal spaces have less-than-wonderful acoustics. Hard surfaces and small spaces can be very nasty to your hearing, and in-ear monitors can help. I recently reviewed some in-ear monitors that are expensive, but they have built-in mics in the earpieces so you can mix in ambient sound, like band members talking to you. Not sure they're worth the expense unless you gig a lot, though...there are decent in-ear monitors that cost much less.
