  1. I still have a Yamaha MOX8. I still love the piano from it. It's such a great rock piano with tons of sustain, etc. But it was a b*tch to program & I don't think I've touched it since I set it up when I bought it. Yamahas have that reputation. Is the Kronos even worse?
  2. Seems like every keyboard player on TV has got one!! I follow the Hinley Street Country Club on YouTube & they use them. Discuss!
  3. They are all hard, just different degrees of hard. The C-3 weighs the most. Also get a 3/4" piece of plywood to set underneath the organ. The ROK's will more easily pick up the organ & also it will slide over stairs, etc. better.
  4. What he said. I happen to like Asics Cumulus series. Started with the Cumulus 10's, now I'm at the 12's. The 13's are changing so much I went back & bought another pair of 12's, so I have a spare pair. I like the New Balance 1604's for the winter time. They are not as ventilated as the Asic's & have a higher sole & side so you don't get as many soakers as with the Asics. When you get a brand/model number you like, you'll stick with them. Just human nature.
  5. Thanks Joe for the info/encouragement. I too kind of ignore those little aches & pains & just go. It's the same as the weather. If you put off running because of a little rain, you'll miss a lot of days. I'll be sure to build up gradually, even though I ran my full route both days & have only a little stiffness when I get up. Thanks again!!
  6. My routine is I run almost 10 km Mon, Wed, Fri & walk 5 km Tues & Thurs. This week got screwed up because of work scheduling & I missed running on Mon. So I ran on Tues, walked on Wed, ran on Thurs. It's been a lot of years since I tried running two days in a row. The last time almost killed me. It's always been walk, run, walk, run. But today I said screw it & ran, meaning I've run two days in a row. Wasn't all that much harder running the second day in a row. I'm thinking I might start running every day. I'll try running a km of my 5 km walk day. Anybody have experience running every day?
  7. That's ok. It's not about winning or losing, it's how you play the game. Or at least I keep telling myself that.
  8. I've never liked E. Never liked soloing in E. It's a guitar player key. They take any tune that's in F or Eb, basterdize it & play it in E. I can solo all day long in Eb or F. I love how Eb & Bb sounds - dark & moody, mysterious.
  9. I've ran for the last 6 years, but only recently has it been really enjoyable. Before it used to be "Mon., (sigh), a run day." Now it's "Yey it's Mon. - a run day!!!!" I run 8 kms Mon, Wed & Fri & walk 6kms Tues & Thurs. It's not a marathon or anything like it, but I'm out there & liking it. Lost 25 pounds in the last 5 months. Go for the half marathon!!!!
  10. Wow, this is really nice. Of course very Lennon/Beatlesque, but so well done. The Mellotron is perfect using the flute tapes as well as the strings. Is it real? I like all the backwards tape effects, the stop & the outro. Everything is well recorded. Excellent!!
  11. If you are on Mac, & have OS 9, you can 20 megs of free internet space. If you want more you can just re-register & link the 2 sites, like this http://homepage.mac.com/b_3guy/index.html
  12. Played your tunes this morning. Nice to hear some real soulful stuff. The guitar playing was really solidly in the pocket. I thought it was good for a guitar player, then I read it was you & I was really impressed. I play guitar as well & appreciate how hard it is to play a 2nd instrument. I've always found it hard to solo over 1 chord. Your playing is very smooth. Liked all the tracks!
