  1. If I remember right, he rescued a cat in "The Towering Inferno".
  2. I guess he never did find the real killer, like he promised he would.... 🤨
  3. Thanks for posting; I am sure I will pick up something from that video as well!
  4. I'm hoping to go to Ohio for it..... Fostoria, Deshler, Findlay area. Weather permitting of course. We are currently suffering through about the 9th day in a row of clouds, rain and occasional snow showers!
  5. I am sure they are on to something big! Can I assume it has all the usual features the kids like, like the ability to shoot with 35mm-style sprocket holes on the sides of the picture? The ability to shoot double exposures? A lens which is soft everywhere away from the center and flares easily? The availability of odd red- or purple-toned film bromide solutions? A vast assortment of expired solutions available on Ebay? If so this camera will be a sure winner.
  6. Fingernails, or some sort of product applied to the hands which is attacking the keys, would be my guesses. I have seen car dashboards where the oft-used buttons were etched away or melted by various hand cremes used by their (usually) female drivers. It's no stretch to imagine the same could happen to a keyboard.
  7. We opened for a Sammy Hagar tribute band last night.... St. Patrick's Day weekend. If that isn't the peak of stardom I don't know what is! As always I am at Stage Left with my two Casios and Knox Z-stand and 2nd tier.
  8. Be aware the stems won't always point that way, for example, the low E in the treble clef would typically be drawn with its stem pointing up, not down, just to pick one example. Having it point down would get in the way of the lyrics if there are any there. Whoever arranged that music will point the stems either up or down to maintain readability and reduce clutter. I am fortunate that I learned to read music in Jr. H.S. and it all came back quickly when I came back to the piano as an adult. We have practice on Friday evenings now and it always amuses me when the kids who play before us catch a glimpse of my sheet music, and they look horrified! I'm starting to wonder if they are even being taught it any more. But it is a hugely valuable skill to have.
  9. Both Chicago-area stores are closing; they must be handing over the market to the two or three GC stores in the area.
  10. I have reservations too, but I'm going there anyway.
  11. I'm really digging this video because I have been on-again, off-again learning that song for a little while now. I have some sheet music but it isn't the greatest..... As is the usual it emphasizes the guitar parts at the expense of the keys. The funny part is it credits the words and music to James De Young. Maybe that's Dennis' brother? 🙂
  12. No, no, no.... That would be "B&O". You know, like the B&O Railroad. On the Monopoly game board.
