  1. The CK88 keyboard action feels like the Modx88 action. I find the P125 keyboard more pleasurable to play despite both being GHS. The speakers on the P125 are louder and sound "better" to me -vs- CK88. Having said all this I appreciate Yamaha incorporating all the great features into the CK88, very impressive!
  2. Frankly both sound very good. For weekend warriors who play on cramped stages in mono via a single powered speaker I wonder if either Ck88 or Numa Piano X come out ahead on piano/epiano-type sounds. My guess is that the Achilles heel with either is in the B3 organ department. Certainly not ideal to play organ on weighted actions ( btw on the matter of weighted actions, which feels better - CK88 or Numa Piano X?), but weekend warriors want/try to get by on one keyboard. Am thinking one solution is Vb3m on a tablet (my case it's an android tablet). Does either offer advantages there? I see the CK88 offers 9 sliders for drawbars, but are percussion, chorus/vibrato, leslie slow/fast bottons able to control tnose parameters vb3m? I wish I could try them side -by-side. Correct me if I'm wrong but CK88 seems more "prosumer" vs Numa which appears more "pro-level"...but frankly hard for me to judge based on youtube videos.
  3. Yamaha CK88 vs. Studiologic Numa X Piano would make for an interesting review..
  4. Appears none of these run on an iPad. Will now have to look for a reasonable windows tablet - any suggestions?
  5. Yes I meant programs. I have been running VB3m on an android tablet and have come up with some great sounding presets (programs). I have no problem purchasing the ios version of VB3m for my new ipad. I am wondering if there is a way to take my custom presets developed on android VB3m and "port" them over to VB3m ios on Ipad.
  6. Just picked up a 9th gen 64GB in space gray - what a slick machine! Is there a way to transfer my programs from VB3m android to the IPad version of VB3m?
  7. Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 9th gen Ipad (headphone jack a decision driver). Plan on running bread-and-butter vst (B3X, VB3m, piano, ep, strings, brass, synth, etc) running within Camelot Pro (I think) Is the 64 GB model sufficient -or- stretch for the 256GB model?
  8. Taking advantage of the mx88 built in audio usb midi interface is it possible to control the volume of vb3 with one of the four knobs on the mx88? Believe the modx has a dedicated knob for this purpose "usb volume". I want to gig without my small audio mixer.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions...Tried another controller, tried playing with buffer settings - same problem exists. That leaves the phone (samsung galaxy S5 android 6.0). Interestingly my samsung galaxy tab A (2016 model running same android 6.0) doesnt exhibit crackling... Does anyone know which android phones work well with vb3m? One last thought - would that inexpensive bringer usb audio box help?
  10. Vb3m andriod user here. I get audio crackles only when using an external keyboard. It's fine when playing from the app's touchscreen keyboard. Has anyone encountered / solved this?
  11. I wanted to let folks know that the Roland UM-ONE-mk2 midi(5 pin) to usb interface works when connecting my ancient yamaha p95 digital piano to a 2016 samsung tab A (running android 7.0). The samsung has a nice 10 inch screen allowing for reasonable drawbar control of VB3m. Am now thinking of finding an older samsung phone that could run VB3m and velcroing it to the p95 front panel....makes for a super compact setup! Thoughts on which samsung phone might work (I quickly tried an old samsung galaxy s5 but the audio was crackling)
  12. Downloaded the android version to my samsung tab A (2016 version, android 6.0) and works great driving it from a usb midi controller (via a usb cable and OTG adapter). -but my other controller is an aged Yamaha digital piano (5-PIN MIDI jacks only). So I connect the piano via a yamaha ux-16 midi/usb converter to the samsung tab A and I cannot get it to work! Am completely Stumped! Maybe the converter is the problem...after some research it seems a converter with android compatibility is rare?
  13. Trying to drive VB3m on a samsung tab A (Marshmallow 6.0) with a yamaha digital piano (legacy 5 pin Midi jacks only). Tried to connect using a Yamaha ux-16 midi -usb interface but somehow it's not working (perhaps because the ux-16 does not use "class-compliant" drivers)? Which midi-usb adapter will work with my setup?
  14. Does the reface YC transmit midi cc# such that it can serve as a controller for VB3, B3x, etc? Hoping the YC front panel can control drawbars, rotary speed, percussion, vibrato, etc of VB3,B3x, or any vst organ. Does anyone use this instrument in such a capacity?
