  1. Off topic time/love for the Numa... but my Numa1 also gets a lot of use often outnudging my primal Mojo and hx3. For some reason I often seem to connect with it better than the others.
  2. Nice! I'm digging it. Piano on top is not sacrilegious when you thing of wurlis on top of a b3. I've done the same as you with my numa1 or mojo 2 manual underneath. Not quite as sturdy as yours mind you.
  3. On the other hand, if you are "faking it"/auditioning//don't really know the set 90%*, a directional monitor may be a better choice initially.
  4. Just listened to lachey link - thanks for that too - cool stuff!
  5. Part of me wants to agree - until I listen to the crash kings (whammy on clavinet) and concede that heresy isn't necessarily a bad thing...
  6. Awesome that they added a clav! - any possibility it might be incorporated into the dual manual mojo? FWIW - I'm on the fence for whether the clav's range should be extended. If I were playing a modeled bari sax (that wouldn't ever happen esp since I play sax), I wouldn't want it to go below the range of that instrument (low A). I'd also cringe if I ever heard someone else do that and would support a manufacturer's executive decision to limit the range in that regard. Ditto for playing beyond a Hammond's range, bass clarinet or trombone for that matter. I don't have a problem with the sustain on organ on the other hand because I would only ever use it as a hold function to free up hands for other purposes - and it would still sound like a Hammond provided that the sustain didn't fade out like a piano. (Using it like a piano damper on the other hand would just be wrong IMO and adding that feature would be sacrilegious.)
  7. I bought mine (the smaller one) through sweetwater shipped to Toronto no problem.
  8. I have had a dual manual mojo for two plus years and dig it very much but don't gig with it much as there is no clav. Would likely spring for the 61 if it had one. Just saying...
  9. I cover my keyboard brands (nord, Kronos, mojo) too but have left the amps (Leslie, space station, qsc/ev) naked...
  10. Aspen, the manager from the North Vancouver store heard mine when we did a gig together a few months ago. I'll certainly let him know you're talking to head office. Maybe one of their own voices chiming in will help Toronto "consider." That is so awesome of you Drawback THANKS! When/If I ever make CPS T-Shirts I'll send you one! L&M is an old established dealer with a great rental system as part of their business model. So musicians could rent and demo the SS3...and as you all know, hearing our CPS technology on a gig or rehearsal is MUCH better than watching my stereo recorded videos...which can not capture the 3D effect. So I think they would be my #1 choice for a dealer partner in Canada. I live about 5 blocks away from Long and McQuade in downtown Toronto and have bought a lot of gear from them over the years. If you have a specific contact there who would like to hear mine in my home studio, he'd be welcome to compare my space station v3 with my other amps.
  11. MS is 48 lbs so a complete non starter for me. My acoustic image amps also got stellar reviews too but little attention on this forum. I still have them mind you, but the space station sees more use from me these days. But if it works for you then great!
  12. I perform live only 1-2x a month or so but have had great results with the Numa1 (+Vent1 at times) through house monitors, a Spacestation V.3, as well as in the studio. So much so that I have had little reason to bring out my neglected H-S 3300. I did have some issues with the HX through a house PA (way to bright on 8') although I was just getting started with it so way too early to generalize and it sounded great through the Spacestation at a rehearsal last week... I believe LX spent much time searching for the ideal Numa amp though I can't recall what he ended up with. Perhaps he'll chime in here?
  13. Thanks very much Dave and Markus. Amazing waking up to a response to last night's post! Dave, on point #4. I was referring to the "Preset II" button on the Nord. Hopefully I'll get a chance to dig into the rest of your collective suggestions tonight.
  14. I'm playing an hx3 using a Nord Stage 2 and Classic (V.3) as a controller which I also purchased from Ken (who generously created the custom cc from his own rig I believe) and have a few questions/issues which I thought I might post here first: 1. How do you dial back the keyclick? Is there a way to do that without using a PC? 2. I'm unable to get the Nords to do a split (ie using the hx for organ on the higher split, and the Nord Wurli/other on the lower split). I've gone through the Nords' midi and other options and think I have exhausted their possibilities as a controller, so I'm wondering if it is the Nord or the hx? Is anyone else able to do that? I can get the Nord on one panel, and the hx on the other though, and do layers as well. 3. I'm unable to get the Nord Preset button to trigger the hx. The drawlights change when I press the preset button but there is no corresponding change on the hx sound until I move the drawlights manually. Is anyone else able to do that? I suspect the cc might need to be customized further on that? 4. I hear a defect in the tone of the hx by holding/hanging on E2 (second E above middle C) and then walking a bass pattern or even just playing quarter notes on low C. The hx seems to echo, particularly on 16' Does anyone else notice that? Solutions? 5. 8' is really bright, and almost harsh by my ears, particularly when fully 'pulled' out. Does anyone else notice that? Solutions? 6. I also hear the vibrato warble that LX took issue with above. Any fixes for that from anyone? Firmware update on the horizon to address? I have the latest update so that's not the issue. Don't get me wrong - I do quite like the HX, although it is still fighting for a spot in the starting line up (Go Jays Go!) competing against a Mojo, Numa and Nord + Vent (each of home has their own shortcomings). Just hoping to tweak those issues further to give it a Kansas City Royals chance in the field...
