  1. hello - I currently have a loose leaf binder of pages of cheat sheets (lyrics and chords), etc for songs that I don't have memorized and/or need to lyrics for singning, etc (classic rock band) - thinking of going hi-tech (LOL) with my ipad for this - would just just need the ability to put them in setlist order, but also be able to jump around if we do some out of order, etc - any input on some good basic software to do this? (don't need anything too fancy) - probably won't do the footswitch thing, just advance by hand/finger - thanks in advance ... will also search here for past posts
  2. thanks all !!! ... always good to bounce ideas off here .....
  3. hey all - currently gigging with a PC1x ... pretty much just use it for 10-12 setups (now, multi in new kurzweil terms) .... I have a PC4, but frankly I think it is way more board than I need for my purposes (have played around with the soundtower editor, but still more than I need) ..... I am considering selling the PC4 and grab an SP6 ... I really think that may be a better (and simpler) option for my needs .... (I also have a hammond XK1c for organ and several other synths that I can use for a 3rd board if needed) .... thoughts ?????????????
  4. love my hammon XK1c .. replaced a Korg CX-3 (new model) and sound better, weighs less, etc ... leslie sim is great as well ... currently usign wtih my Pc1x for giging ... (have a PC4 but way more board than I need, may sell ti and go with the SP6)
  5. I used to have the two powered speaker / mixer setup ... but way too much stuff ... loving my Motion Sound KP500 .....
  6. I used to have the two powered speaker / mixer setup ... but way too much stuff ... loving my Motion Sound KP500 .....
  7. I went from my CX-3 to the Hammond XK-1c and totally am happy !! - much better sound ...(and LOTS lighter) ... I was also so happy with the internal Leslie sim on the hammond that I gave up my trusty motion sound KBR-3D for the motion sound MS500 ... totally happy !!!
  8. hello all - just need some advice (probably a past model) for a midi key board controller (37 or 49 keys) for my behringer model D module ...nothing fancy ...just regular size keys and pitch/mod wheels .... been looking, but there are so many that have way too many bells and whistles that I do not need - thanks in advance.
  9. understand the fidelity advantage of PA speakers (used to haul around a pair myself with mixer etc .. kind of a pain) ... but currently using a Motion Sound MS500 (don't need the KBR-3D anymore, the internal leslie sim in my XK1c works just fine) .... the MS500 is convenient to setup up , sounds good ... XLR out to our mains PA and away I go ......don't think the average bar patron notices any diff
  10. thanks so much - guess I am just used to my good old true-poly type synth where each note of a chord was the same ... suppose I could do that with "para" as long as each OCS was the same ..... thanks again !!!
  11. so .. as per my question, just one oscillator per note in a chord then ..... so each note in the "chord" (4 notes for instance) could be wildly different depending on the setting of its individual osc ?
  12. hello all you smart people !! .. I have a strange question when it comes to paraphonic (specifically the recent Behringer PolyD and Mono/Poly boards) ... i understand the fact of one filter, etc and the triggering limitations there in ... but here is my question .... if it is a case of "4 voice" paraphonic .. which maps to the (in the case of a polyD) the 4 oscillators .. does that mean if I play a 4 note chord .. and the osc's are set to (for example) saw, triangle, square, "whatever" etc ..does that mean the notes of the "chord" would individually be .. saw, triangle, square, "watever" ?? ... i.e., an individual note of the chord would reflect an individual oscillator - thanks for any advice !!
  13. Try this: Hit "Multi'. Select #2047 - 'Clear Multi'. Hit 'Edit'. On the left side, program 1 should be 'active' and the other 3 'muted'. Set all 4 to active - the buttons should turn purple. Select your sounds, set volumes and so on. Now press 'Controls'. Hit 'enter' and one of the switch buttons at the same time. If they're not set this way, set all switches with these settings (one at a time): Switch - (1, 2, 3, or 4 - one at a time) Mode = Midi CC Type = Toggled Destination = Mute Zone (149) On Value = 0 Off Value = 127 Entry State = On Exit State = None What you end up with, is the buttons are purple when the zone is active, and if you push a button to mute a zone, the button is unlit. Probably save it as a template with a new name and number. It sounds like a lot, but it's pretty quick to do. If you're proficient with the keypad, that can help, and once it's done, you'll have a template to work from. 'Solo' zone is kind of funky right now. I think it's more for when you're setting things up than when playing. Maybe they'll change it if they get some input. You have to be in "Edit", then hit the 'More' button (right or left) until you see one of the 'soft' buttons labeled "Solo Zone". You also have to select the zone on the "Overview" page. Then when you hit the solo button that zone will be soloed. Much quicker just to mute whatever zones you don't want to hear. Thanks - that is exactly what I did ... kind of don't like the "no light" thing .. and they do light (purple) when engaged .. guess I am just still used to the Pc1x , green, yellow , red scenario .... working with 4 zones and even with the setup above, not sure why some upper zones are lit and some not LOL .....speaking of colors ... why do the switch buttons vary from blue, pruple, red, etc .. and what does it mean (can't find any documentation on that even in the 300+ page manual I down loaded) .. thanks again !!
  14. just got my PC4 and trying to setup multis that I had used with my PC1x for gigging .. wanted a simple 4 zone multi of 4 sounds that I could solo, mute etc when needed .. what a night mare .. sometimes the button is blue, sometimes purple, sometimes not at all, sometimes red ... it was so simple to solo, mute, layer etc on the PC1x ... what am I missing ????
