  1. Man, I didn't realize what I started!!! Actually, I laughed my ass off this morning before work after reading this flaming folder thread to be. What a great way to start the day. This should be put to music. By the way, Dansouth, the song is posted on, I believe page 7 of the "Lets hear it" thread. The song's name is "The U.S.A." I'd like to put it to video. The setup - The old west days...conestoga wagons crossing the plains with the cavalry riding beside them...scenes throughout showing Americans helping each other to build America into what it is today...Final scenes--The WTC disaster and thousands of people singing the final chorus of The United State of America. I'd appreciate it if you would check it out give me some feed back. www.mp3.com/Paul_Dieter Thanks, PAULIII This message has been edited by PAULIII on 10-02-2001 at 12:20 AM
  2. Thanks, Midirat. I'll try it. Appreciate the advice. PAULIII
  3. Thanks for your reply, d-kay: I realize you are not from the USA. It's probably hard for you to understand what we just went through over here. Many innocent civilians being mass murdered by people that have no regard for human life. You must understand that it was very wrong. I care about the people of my country just like You care about the people of yours. This song wasn't meant to be part of a simpsons cartoon, but instead I felt it had potential to be made into a video using covered wagons and the calvery riding along side them in the old western days; afterward, scenes of people helping each other to build the America as we know it...things that America is really about. Final scenes showing the WTC disaster and a present day crowd of thousands together singing "The United State of America. Just an idea but if it sold to people that do like this kind of music, and helped to keep America united, especially in this time of mixed feelings, the proceeds could go to help the WTC's victims' families. Thought it might be beneficial in it's own little way to the times we're living in. PAULIII This message has been edited by PAULIII on 10-02-2001 at 12:12 AM
  4. As a keyboard player all but 4 yrs. of my life, and a songwriter since 1973, I have put down a lot of private tracks. I need to get one of the songs made into a video by professionals that can get it aired nationwide. The song is called The U.S.A. and can be heard at http://www.mp3.com/Paul_Dieter. Imagine the covered wagons and the calvery riding along side them in the old western days; afterward, scenes of people helping each other to build the America as we know it. Final scenes showing the WTC disaster and a present day crowd of thousands together singing "The United State of America. Just an idea but if it sells, the proceeds could go to help the WTC's victims' families. It is copyrighted and I am a member of ASCAP.
  5. Steve: I think the snare part you referred to with the wierd phase effect is the part at the end, actually it is a cymbal from the Triton's cymbal kit, modified slightly, and run through an MXR Flanger/Doubler, flange set to comb filter than manually swept across the length of the cymbal sound and panned from left to right. Thanks, PAULIII
  6. Here is one of mine. Wrote and copyrighted it back in 1981. Seems to fit well with today's current events. Hope you like it! http://www.mp3.com/Paul_Dieter PaulIII
