I want to run a microphone through my Nord Modular to use the vocoder. I need a preamp to boost the signal of the mic. I am considering an ART Dual MP Microphone Preamp. The idea is to use one channel as the mic preamp and run the output to the line input of my Nord, then run the output of the Nord through the other side to warm the sound. I have two quick questions.

1. Will this setup cause any odd feedback, grounding or other problems?

2. One channel will always be used with the Nord while the other will see little use unless I am operating the vocoder. Will this cause any long term problems with balance on the dual channel pre if I later use it as a stereo pre?

Thanks,
Robert
