TL-Audio is a pre-amp pretty different that the majority ou there... if you are looking for a pre-amp to do it all... a clean... transparent one... look for something else.

this preamp is dirty , but has a pretty unique character. great for skinny sounds that you want to make bigger. and a good price too...

I got hooked on the Tony Larkin (TL) sound using a PA-1. We currently have 2 PA-2 (same design as the PA-1, a few less features) and 2 C-1's. They are top notch, and you will not find a better sounding preamp for the money IMHO.

FWIW, the HHB Raduis is basically the same design (also Tony Larkin) under a different name. We have a Radius 10, 4 channels of dual valve. Retails for under $700, and very very sweet.
