I'm a Cherry Audio fan who is greatly amused to see this particular beast appear. I never kept up with ARP after my early use of a 2600 and their Sequencer, but the form of the Quadra was tantalizing. The one thing I'd love to see feels almost unreasonable for what is basically a stabilized vintage item with better effects: user WAV drop-in. That would violate the purity and no doubt have cost far more to implement. I just like the idea of being able to expand on it with a User bank per section. That would greatly enhance its powers.

My blarney aside, the demos I've heard seem pretty accurate, much like the Mercury-4's. I get a good whiff of Tony Banks in a few. I've had some of the more popular synths as hardware, so I know how it feels when they go south. All of this modern stability is spoiling me.

Picked it up, couldnt resist. That, and Animoog Z.

Why not? Software is so cheap these days...and I use it all so I can totally justify any of these small spends...

Does the Quadra not have "knobs"? Are they sliders that pop up when you mouse over or click?

I hate knobs, I'd love a synth without knobs. My primary MIDI trigger is a Fishman Triple Play pickup on a Tele, I do have a keyboard but I am not good at keys.

At $40 I'm interested. Cherry Hill has some nice stuff.

It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.

The Quadra is also included in a 10-synth pack that's currently on sale for $199 (normally $299). The cost is even lower for those who have already have some of the products in the bundle. Make sure to log in to see your price:

Yeah I got that notification about the 10-Synth Pack too. Only problem is I had already drank their Kool-Aid! I went ahead and grabbed the Quadra but have all the other instruments.

I also stuck my toe in the virtual modular "rabbit hole" and picked up their Voltage Modular Core+ along with the ARP 2500 and Moog VM900 collections. That should keep me busy.

I'll see you guys in about six months! lol

Just installed it, the manual shows that is a mouse friendly array of buttons and sliders. My Fishman Triple Play does not have much in the way of assignable controller knobs and "knobs" on plugins are not friendly at all.

Looks like fun, the sound files sounded good.
