Stokely
I generally use the audio production deals reddit for deals. And email as well, since I get a fair number of offers from places I have bought from in the past. There's already been a ton of stuff, some good deals some not so good! I've picked up a few mixing plugins but I feel pretty set in that department. NO MORE SYNTHS, I already don't use some of the ones I have....I might dive into a drum library if a good deal presents. ElmerJFudd
I could use a deal on some restoration tools ie iZotope. Also on the look out for one really good piano library that I like a lot - ie. Garritan CFX. If it"s part of a collection of stuff ie. Keyscape or a Kontakt compilation or something, I won"t shy away. Quote Yamaha CP88, Casio PX-
Stokely
I got Garritan CFX "Lite" on sale a few years ago. I like Garritan, they have simple copy protection and were helpful when I asked a question. Even the Lite version is pretty big, I ended up putting it on an external ssd to reduce (vastly reduce) load times. I might be willing to upgrade it to get the different mic perspectives, I've heard they are worth it. That's the main difference I think between Lite and regular. miden
Sadly Neo-Soul Keys is still WELL out of range. Their "sale" is at $250 USD, probs only about 10% off...makes it over $300 AUD . It's pricing itself out of the market. Time to look for an alternative I think. Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... Mighty Motif Max
Gospel Musicians also has their Yamaha sound libraries on sale. I highly recommend the Kawai EX and Academic Grand samples; I have all 5 of the AcousticSamples pianos in my Motif XF but those two are my favorite general-purpose pianos along with the stock S6 grand. Edit: to be clear, I'm talking about the Gospel Musicians pianos they partnered with AcousticSamples on bringing to the Motif/Montage from AS's libraries, not an offering from AS themselves. Josh Paxton
I'm kind of angry at myself for this, but I'm hoping Sibelius has a sale. I've tried to get comfortable with a few others since ditching it, but for all its faults, at least they're the faults I know and know how to get around. Still not a huge reduction in any case...still I will go back and re-check it from the Oz end. Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... Groove On
I'm seeing a price of US$125 until the end of Nov 2021 for Neo-Soul Keys Studio 2, but the web page did load and show US$250 for a several seconds before switching to the sale price. miden
Yep thanks Groove and DocBop - I must have jumped on too soon, being down here we are several hours in front Just checked again after DocBops post and indeed it is now down to 125 ($172 in our $'s) can probably just "squeak" that in...LL4 just does not cut it for me any more. They haven't updated it for quite a while and i am not holding my breath waiting. The iOS version is excellent for Neo Soul....SampleTank 4 has some nice ones in it too, just need to see if i can justify the cost to add to those. Thanks again! Groove On
And thanks to miden's last thread, I picked up the Hammond B-3X (iOS) for US$59.99 in a late-night feverish purchase. ElmerJFudd
They may avoid discounting B-3x for PC until the last minute. They only just recently launched a MAX VI plan where you get all their instruments in a bundle separate from the FX package. miden
Elmer, do you know how long IK usually run this sale? I'll wait til the end to see if it comes up. I did see the MAX sale, but with ST4 and some other synths from them already it doesn't make a lot of sense, JUST to get B-3x. I did see the MAX sale, but with ST4 and some other synths from them already it doesn't make a lot of sense, JUST to get B-3x. It"s hard to say this year - they did this big 25th anniversary group buy the last two months. Maybe they"ve made their targets with that. Splitting up Max into instruments and fx bundles was a pretty savvy move. The introductory pricing is supposed to end November 30. I"m not sure I"d bite either when all I really want is B3X. I feel like they"ve been very careful not to discount their official Hammond product - particularly the desktop version. Patience will win, imho. I just scored a Behringer Pro-1 for $200 ($130 off) and a Klark Teknik Dimension D clone for $70 ($100 off). Yes indeed; ordered a Behringer CAT a few days ago. That KT Dimension D clone was interesting, but I couldn't really think of an actual use I would have for it since I already have a Line6 M13 fx unit if I wanted to add FX to a synth or guitar. Neo-Soul Keys Studio 2 https://gospelmusicians.com/products/neo-soul-keys-studio-2 Very nearly pulled the trigger on Neo Soul 2, but by the time I got to the final stage of the payment with all current exchange rates etc, it was going to cost $191 AUD. So I aborted. Just could not justify it. Must be some wealthy people buying GM gear, that's all I can say haha! I'll hunt around for a cheaper alternative. I can use the ones in ST4, but sometimes a project/song needs a specialist standalone. Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence...
