Mark Zeger Posted August 13, 2021 Share Posted August 13, 2021 I"m seeing the band in November as long as Delta doesn"t change my fall plans (insert meme here). Joe Dyson will be on drums. I heard Francies twice at Newport 2 weeks ago. He played in 'A Christian McBride Situation' and in Chris Potter"s Circuits Trio. VERY impressive talent especially with Potter where he covered the bass duties as he does with Metheny. It"s very interesting that both Potter (who played in Metheny"s Unity groups) and Metheny are leading trios with Francies on keys and no bassist. I have video of both McBride"s and Potter"s groups but the files are too large to upload. Photos are also too large.
