Old No7
Thanks to all who commented on my recent posts about upgrading from a Yamaha MX61 to an XYZ and from a Roland FP-30 to an ABC... Turns out that 2020 was a crazy busy year for the medical supplies industry and required many late nights and weekend hours to keep up with all the orders and inquiries, but it paid off handsomely in the year-end bonus check (always paid out 3 months or so late -- but at least it was sent). So instead of upgrading one board -- I was lucky enough to upgrade both boards! --> On top, a Yamaha MODX6 replaced the MX61 ...... In the middle, I'm still lovin' my Crumar Mojo 61. --> On the bottom, a Roland RD-88 replaced the FP-30 Well, I think I will have a rich and deep enough of a sound palette now! The learning curve on both boards, especially for the MODX (getting deep into it), is something I'll be working on for the next few months (or maybe years for the MODX?) but I'm really happy so far! The stack isn't quite ready for a "Dig My Rig" update, but you all know what they look like anyhow; and I need to rewire some of the awesome red LEDs that I'd added to the stack awhile ago, plus I also need to boost the lights a little to show more of the RD-88's many controls. Rock on!
