I saw 'Sound Of Metal' a couple of months ago and it was great. More with Riz Ahmed: 'The Night Of,' probably the best limited series I"ve seen in years.

This movie may not fit light hearted because it is a little raunchy, but I think Horrible Bosses (the first one) is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

Since after over a year not seeing a movie at a theater they have finally reopened here. Have seen a couple movies and they were meh at best, and don't see anything coming that excites me. So watching what's getting streamed.

The Expanse TV series. Great series based on James Corey's books. Takes place about 350 years into the future and when you think about the current world it really seems to of predicted where things will go. Also read where it's considered one of the most scientifically accurate Sci Fi shows. Another couple old TV series I've been watching The Mentalist and Lie To Me. The mentalist did their research on social psychology and most of the things character Patrick Jane does are real only some Hollywood exaggeration here and there. Lie To Me is similar but is more about reading people than trying to trip them up.

Movies I'm a Denzel Washington fan so rewatching some of his like Devil In a Blue Dress, Mo Better Blues (very cool Jazz movie), The Equalizer. Rewatched Angelina Jolie's Salt, Jennifer Lawrence Red Sparrow, Charlize Theron Atomic Blonde. Yes, I like badass women.

I"m also a Denzel fan, but holy moly, there"s one ultra violent scene in Mo Better Blues that shook me.

Have you seen Denzel"s movie 'Flight?"

Oh yes and have watch the opening many times . It is an excellent movie and like John Goodman and his character a lot. Then Denzil's first big movie Devil in a Blue Dress was also the movie that launched Don Cheadle career. Don's character in that movie was cruel and funny at the same time.

I saw 'Sound Of Metal' a couple of months ago and it was great.

My wife and I watched that a few weeks ago. Great movie, but it hit a little too close to home for me at times. My hearing has gotten progressively worse over the past 10-15 years. I started wearing hearing aids offstage, which has helped considerably. But the party scene in that movie, where he's hearing a cacophony of every voice in the room, was painfully accurate. It did, however, give me a chance to show my wife how it feels sometimes.

The Wolf of Wall Street, very funny while being morally reprehensible at the same time.

One of my favorite scenes, where Jordan Belfort invites the FBI agents to his yacht to set things straight (NSFW language):

The Pretenders "Live In London" DVD is killer. It's not the original lineup, but the energy is there - nonstop. That first Pretenders album is one of the best debuts of all time - a whole new ball game.

I saw the "Back On the Chain Gang" Pretenders live, one of the rock shows I've ever seen and I have seen many. Great choice!!!

Oldies but Goodies - Being There and Full Metal Jacket.

It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.

An absolutely charming that I saw on Netflix recently, 'Chef'

I realize that 'The Death of Stalin' doesn"t sound like a good starting point for a comedy, but I loved this.

This is a heinous entry, but I remember laughing like mad the first time I saw "The Corpse Grinders." Its not a family musical. More of a classic 70s tax write-off calculated to embarrass the drive-ins that showed it. A funeral home starts adding its dead clients to its commercial cat food. Its a big hit until they run out of bodies, at which point cats start going after everyone in town, for, you know, the savory flavor. I doubt that the SPCA appreciated the number of cats clearly flung at the victims during the climax.

I also doubt that I could get high enough to laugh at it now, but it did its job at the time. :thu::puff:

Since the beginning of the pandemic, I've started watching many movies, and sometimes I run out of ideas. I currently don't know which movie to watch, and I wouldn't mind the idea of a movie. The most annoying thing about watching movies is choosing a platform. There are very few platforms out there that don't download a promotional movie. Personally, I decided 123movies platforms for simplicity, and free movie viewing .the moment I go to a new platform, I only get a headache when I see all the ads that don't allow me to watch a minute of a movie quietly and peacefully
