Anyone heard any of Michael Schenkers new stuff?

It looks like in the last year or two he's realeased a bunch of stuff on Shrapnel, and a couple of DVD's.

 

I really dug his playing on the early MSG records, but the last thing I've heard from him was the record he did with Robin McCaulley (great playing, terrible songs, even worse singer)...

 

Heard he married some chick that sold all his gear, and he was homeless for a while... Just wondering how his playing is these days?

That's pretty much true of almost all of the songs on his solo albums w/the exception of his instrumentals.

 

Come on, Graham Bonnet? Gary Barden?

 

Same goes with RATT and DOKKEN

 

I have been promising myself for years that I will burn and mix a CD w/ just their solos and/or instrumentals

 

I've always dug Schenker. How bout that solo on "Rock Bottom" on the live album?

I remember him, wasn't he in the scorpions?

 

Another good player of that era Ulrich Roth I think was his name.

Uli Roth, one of the bestest.

 

He was more polished than Blackmore as far as the 70's early neo-classical style went. Was able to incorporate some Hendrix in there to boot.
