For those who asked... you can see the small size, which is quite nice. You can see how the Fat Cats fit in the humbucking form factor. Best quality my phone could shoot...

That's great, Bill!

I meant to mention this Washburn made in the 1980's when you mentioned this and the other beer one. (Or was that someone else who mentioned the bad beer co. one?)

It was a piece of crap, but boy did I want to find a decent one back then! How dumb is that? The Music Gallery in Highland Park, IL had several of them, just before Dean went under the first time.

I found this Washburn, too, while looking for a pic of the above guitar:

Neil,

wow. As my philosophical guru Kelly Bundy would say, "the mind wobbles".

Still, those do have character. The Deans were hopeless?? Too bad. High "Bo Diddly Factor". A friend of mine (Mike Mazur) is big on the "Bo Diddly Factor". He stuck colored lights in the new Korby mid-sized mics, just for that purpose. There is no reason to have a light on a mic, but when the grille lights up either red or blue (depending upon the mic) most people like it. Tracy Korby is still shaking his head, but he's going with it.

There have been some really great oddball guitars, and some that were great at the time but do not translate into today's sensibilities. But guitars from the minds of advertising folks? Those guys work on a whole different planet.
