Scott Fraser
<> I've got a Carvin AE185 hollowbody acoustic/electric hybrid & it was definitely very nice right out of the box. (Actually off the showroom floor.) They do a great job with detailing & provide a lot of features normally found only on high ticket boutique guitars. Very nice axe. They don't really have anything that is comparable to a Les Paul currently, but their California Carved top does a very respectable version of a PRS. Bluesape
I've had a Carvin, and would again. Mine had a Kahler, and the locking nut was huge, jagged, and cut my hands too often. But the guitar was great. Never a DUH! moment! Well, almost never. OK, OK! Sometimes never!
