Bluesape
Just had a listen to some of "Genius Loves Company", which I believe is a posthumous compilation. BB, Wille Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Michael McDonald, and others did duets with Ray. I think it's a great tribute. Anybody got it? I gotta get it. Never a DUH! moment! Well, almost never. OK, OK! Sometimes never!
LPCustom
I hadn't heard about that. But I'll probably get it. I was never a fan of his, but there's something about his music that just kind of creeps up on you and doesn't let go. Born on the Bayou

Guitar55
Ray was incredible. Besides being able to sing about a half hour behind the beat and still be "in" the song, his playing was amazing. Check the 2 disc set Jazz + Blues for his takes on those two genres.

AlChuck
It's not a posthumous collaboration.. but he didn't live very long after it was done...

Corner Pocket
I think I read that when "Genius Loves Company" and the soundtrack to "RAY" were first released, it was the first time in his career that he had TWO albums in the Top 10 on the Billboard Charts. I hoping for this for Xmas: http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000A7KL7U/qid=1129817738/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_3_4/701-0532539-7444361 Peace, Paul Peace, Paul ----------------------
