Gifthorse
My friend Ken just bought a Dr. Z Airbrake and he said you can't get them anywhere on the west coast. He located one in 1 store. Apparently EVERYONE is buying them up. I am jealous, he has a Marshall JCM 800. I bet that thing sounds incredible with the airbrake!! http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
Gifthorse
I think the mini Z is pretty reasonable $$ if it is as good as it seems. I agree with Mus though, I would have to try one before I would buy it. This goes for anything music related. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
LPCustom
This Mini Z sounds amazing. It sounds even better than the only other one I've played with. The AirBrake didn't come with it, though ( back ordered). So I can't play it full tilt. A friend of mine has some studio time that I might be able to wheedle my way in on... It will get _really_ loud. You could play a small club with it but not for more than about 50 people. For larger clubs you'd need something larger like a Maz. The sound is like butter with teeth. It can produce nice warm, clean and crisp sounds at lower volumes and growl like a grizzly at high volumes. I absolutely love it. The control is so simple. I really can't describe what it sounds like. A poet, I'm not. I tried to record me playing it today but I can't get that to work (it _should_ work, dangit!). I did crank it way up while my wife was out running errands. Man, what a roar. My LP Custom has _never_ sounded so good. Born on the Bayou
