Wes from Wpg
Picked up a Dean Evo 60 Gold Top today. LP Style. Mahogany body with carved maple top, set mahogany neck, P90's. List price was $949. Got it brand new on a clearance for $325. Haven't had much time to play it yet. Plugged it in for five minutes with the old dusty strings. Plays and sounds fantastic. Now I know why everyone here loves P90's. THEY RULE!!! I can't wait to get some new strings on tonight and give it a go.

Wes from Wpg
Here are some quick pics. Still a bit dusty from sitting in the store. Gonna restring it and have some fun. I'll give you a better review after I've played for a while. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y293/wes_from_winnipeg/IMGP0956.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y293/wes_from_winnipeg/IMGP0958.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y293/wes_from_winnipeg/IMGP0967.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y293/wes_from_winnipeg/IMGP0965.jpg

Caevan O’Shite
Whoa, a real sho-gurrl ya got there, Wes! And, yeah, welcome to the ppphhhhaaaaatt-side of the Force! When you lace that toboggan up with some fresh strings- may I suggest either DR "Pure Blues" or "Tite Fits", round-cores in "tens" or "elevens"- once you've gotten 'em broke-in and stretched-out 'n' intonated and all, try tuning it to Open-G for a while (D-G-D-G-B-D, low-to-high). If you're not familiar with it, alternate straight-barres of all six strings (all the same fret) with the same fingering you'd use for an Am7-type barre interspersed with some barre-anchored 2nd, 3rd, 'n' 4th finger noodling and an occasional pull-bent double-stop and some microtonal oblique-bends on the 2nd- and 3rd-strings with your 3rd 'n' 4th finnerz. Tell me that isn't just beautiful! You'll be gettin' all Keef on it...
