At least the slide part seems like it could have been directly lifted... remainanon Posted October 20, 2001 Posted October 20, 2001 Tom Petty - "Free Falling" Mebbe not the best ever, but on a list of songs about LA... BTW About the Sheryl Crow/Kevin Gilbert thing, I've often wondered what the story was about another album SC made before the big manufactured hit one, with Hugh Padgham as producer. You don't hear much about that, but A&M were possibly commited to Ms Crow before the Bill Bottrel thing. I'm short on facts in this matter though. I'd be interested in any references to factual info people may have. Cheers John
Submersible Posted October 20, 2001 Posted October 20, 2001 You guys all missed it! The best tune about L.A. has got to be "the Street Song" by Felix Figueroa and his Orchestra. It's the one Bugs Bunny sings... Pico and Sepulve-DA, Pico and Sepulve-DA, Pico and Sepulve-DA, etc.
