wietse
this weekend my collection grew with 2 guitars. saturday i bought an old german glitter guitar at a vintage guitarshow only 100 euro . needed some work, o fretmissing, volumeknob missing, loose vinyl covering, strapholders missing. But after some work i got it playable again the bridge i had to move the intonation was way off, a F flat instead of a E, never seen it that bad before. it's not perfect now but at least it's in the same note now although not spot on. and it's a looker imo. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/fasan.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/fasanbody.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/fasanside.jpg it is a Fasan a name used by Klira a small german builder. not a light player but a hell of a decoration. The other one i found yesterday at, you never guess, a classic car show. It was laying on the ground surrounded by car and bike parts, and very dirty. for only 40 euro i could call it mine. It's a Kasuga SG clone and a very nice guitar, which is logical when you know that Kasuga was building guitars for Tokai, when Tokai couldn't meet the demand and this factory could meet their quality demands. the only thing i did was pollish it and gave it some new strings plays like a dream and sounds like that too. the only letdown is that the headstock has been broken, been repaired professional so no worry for me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars2/kasuga.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars2/kasugabody.jpg this baby has a mahogany body and set neck. http://www.wietsesguitars.nl

LeftyBlues
Nice finds, Tedster's gonna go nuts when he sees the red one! I'm rather fond of that snakeskin type finish, pretty cool. You know you're having a good day when you find a classic guitar at a classic car show. I was born at night but I wasn't born last night... Bejeeber
Yeah, the body on that German Glitter guitar is a looker alright. Just a pinch between the geek and chum
blackpig
Well done indeed. The sg in particular is an excellent guitar at a knockdown price. It is always wise to surrender to G.A.S. even if you have to sell several children, goats and kidneys. You've got two nice guitars there without having to sell your Grandma for research. wietse
thanks guys ,i'm happy with it myself, sold yesterday my yamaha superstrat model to a friend of mine. so there is place again for another guitar i just can't seem to like that type of guitar, i like the oldies and weirdo's. The SG is indeed amazing, been playing it a lot the last days, but the Fasan is not that bad either done some more tweeking on it and it plays reasonably good now, not very heavy but also not super light like the kasuga. http://www.wietsesguitars.nl
Shoes
Wow Those are in beautiful condition. Excelent additions to your collection. The SG might be a bit boring in comparison but very nicely done. Congratulations on the finds I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.
