SaltWaterSound
...you know the kind of sick feeling you get when you just bought something that you were not supposed too, hehe. Just dropped $450 down on a butterscotch/black pickguard FENDER AM Series Strat HSS. Droooooooooooool!!!!!!!!! My girlfriend is gonna kick my ass. Whatever, she's been replaced now...oops. http://www.guitartrader.com/itm_img/EGFNLH+BSBMS1-f.jpg
Mudcat
Better to buy 'em when you are only making a girlfriend (as opposed to a wife) mad. Nice guitar! Darcy H
I felt the same way when I popped for those Custom Shop Fat50's that I'll no doubt be waiting another three months for...oh the joys of living in a Canadian backwater! My wife never knew I bought my Strat for about five months...kept it under the spare bed and it came out whenever I was on night shifts or off and had the house to myself. I was waiting for her to buy something extravagant so I could "console" her www.myspace.com/darcyhoover

SaltWaterSound
enjoy, it looks great. be sure to let us know how it sounds. I plugged it into a Marshell DFX30 or something of the like and it sounded excellent. Just like a well built Fender should. I was playing all kinds of Fenders up there including some American Telecasters, which felt equally as good, but this one sounded the best.
