wietse
i had a epiphone V wich i couldn't seem to sell ,swapped it to day with this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/pointyone.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/pointyonebody.jpg on a fleamarket where i was standing selling stuff today (never again at that place 70 euro whole day and a speedticket on the way home ) it has a maple body and a realy sweet neck , the pu's can be switched in fase with a little switch. and a floyd rose type of bridge which they made unusable ,al the screws which are pressing on the saddles are gone so no big problem. don't know their exact function i'm not familiar with this type of bridges. and the toplock is also out of order screws gone and the plate that holds the strings ,maybe i can make something to fix that myself. the guy was asking 165 and i was asking 175 for the V so we swopped . it was my time to give home some discount last week he gave me a giant discount on that eko. but i'm happy with this new piece in my collection. http://www.wietsesguitars.nl

Bejeeber
You guys are gonna end up putting somebody's eye out, aren't you? That's where the industrial strength mullets as deflector shields come in handy for bands with guitars this pointy. doc taz
wietse, I wouldn't bother with that trem. Lose the "locking" nut, and block the bridge permanently. That is kind of a cool shape, though. That I can dig. sevenstring.org profile my flickr page

Originally posted by Chris_C: you could fix the screws on the head, but it'll only break when it falls off the guitar stand AGAIN!!...Ok. Red, in the days before hanging stands were available I rigged a mic stand with a tubular guitar stand on top. The guitar still had to balance upside-down. And to Chris C.. On my first gig with the guitar... you've probably already guessed, the stand and guitar went over, face first, from 3-4 ft. above the ground. Broke 3 of 6 fine tuners on my Kahler. (Oh, yeah, forgot to mention, idiot that I was, I had them graft a Kahler trem in the body already routed for a Floyd Rose because the Kahler was better. ) Fortunately and miraculously, the guitar was otherwise unscathed. Some time later I picked up a Hamilton stand, one of the first, if not the first hanging stand. It works fine for my body shape. The Ultimate Support Genesis stand, which has been available for a few years, doesn't work well with mine because the bottom supports are more compact than the Hamilton's. It should be fine for wietse's, though. Also, Red, I bought mine as left over stock when Kramer went under in the mid-1980's as a body w/p'ups and electronics, but no bridge or neck. My Chandler neck has a bird-beak headstock that complements the body perfectly! I've heard all the jokes but I've yet to take anyone's eyes or other body parts out yet. The strange part is, I mostly play acoustic and my electric playing is more bluesy and non-metal. Never wore spandex, thank goodness. Of course, Tom (ITGITC) has that pic of me from 1990 that makes me wish I had worn spandex. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. That I can dig.well that's already been done by the former owner i just want it back in his original condition. like collectors do ,what i'm mainly are , a collector no player. the balance of the guitar is fantastic though ,tested that yesterday it stays in the position where it is when you let the neck go. couldn't say the same about the V i swapped it with. http://www.wietsesguitars.nl
