MY LAST NIGHT AT 35...

When I was young, I never thought I'd live to 30. Now that I passed that age a couple days ago, :freak:;) I see that there are only bigger and better things ahead, like retirement, winning the lottery and sleep (not necessarily in that order). You're catching up to me, BiC! :thu:

Thanx Vinny!

We celebrated my B-day today since my Wife & I were off work.

She hired a friend to bake me a SpongeBob cake! :D

I'll post a pic of it once we download it.

She got me a really awesome back massager for my recliner... something you really need when you're this old!!! :freak:;):freak:

Happy B-Day, BiC! Are you planning to go out and celebrate?

I just hit 40 this year, so I know what you mean about looking back, but like you said yourself, when you're 60 you'll be looking back at today. Just remember to live every day to the fullest, and they'll ALL be "good old days".

Happy birthday BiC! And belated happy b-day to you Cosmo. So, BiC, what exactly about 36 makes you think you are old? I'm 50 going on 25 myself. I realize a body will age, but regular exercise and good food (ice cream) will keep you younger, and there is no reason whatsoever that your mind has to grow old. Nope. None. Nada.

I used to think it was old too (and still do at times). Then this past year I spoke to this guy I work with who's 50+ (not that there's anything wrong with that) and told him that I don't celebrate or announce my birthdays. His response was that he always does, because in a non-morbid/non-old way, you never know when it will be your last one.

I may have Gerascophobia. :P

I just need to learn to age gracefully. :)

Actually I mistyped before. If you're talking 36th birthday, it was only about 1,200 days ago. ;)

happy birthday BiC!

A couple of thoughts:

Age is just a number. While it is true that our bodies age, our "real" age is what we feel in our hearts and minds, so don't convince yourself that you're "old". And besides, compared to eternity, age really means nothing. ;)

Again - happy birthday!

Happy Birthday, BiC! And, of course, a happy belated birthday to you as well, Cosmo.

In a few weeks time I will be on the other side of 45, and I comfort myself by knowing that I can still say I'm in my "mid-40's" when asked...but there is no denying that 50 is right around the corner. :freak:

But, every birthday, no matter the age, is a time for celebration, and I hope you have a great one tomorrow.
