revolead
Okay, so I'm finally writing the paper that I asked you all in this thread to help me with. So how would you guys like to be quoted? I'm stuck on what to do here. My idea was just to put "Tedster from Kansas City, MO" or "Shannon from Alabama." I know it's lame, but I don't think I have much of an alternative, and in order to keep with the anonymous feel of the paper, I do not want to put real names. Shut up and play. Tedster
Call me "John Smith (not his real name)". Seriously, if you don't want to put in real names, then just use handles. You might explain that folks on a lot (most, perhaps) internet boards use handles rather than names. I have no problem with anyone using my real name if they need to, though. Funk Jazz
um, i agree on not using real names, so i'd second (or third) the idea of using handles and locations. looking forward to reading another one of your papers, rev
picker
If you quote me, attribute it anyway you want to. "Picker from Kansas City" is fine with me. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
revolead
Well, so far, I just put "Tedster from Kansas City" in that format. The biggest problem is in one fo the quotes someone refers to Tedster, so I thought screennames would be okay. I could easily edit it, but since I want to respect privacy, you guys call it. Screennames? or handles? I won't put anything like Ted Hoffman. That's just too personal. Shut up and play.

NMcGuitar
I'd say to go with the handles. If someone really wants to find out who I am, they will(it's not that hard...), but I think not using people's real, full names is probably a good idea. If you need to reference me, feel free to use "NMcGuitar" or "Neil" (and use the "from Md" or "from just outside Washington, D.C." as you see fit). Good luck with the paper! You are going to post a copy of it here (after you get your grade, of course), right? I'm sure we would all be interested to read it. revolead
Yeah, I'll have it done in about 10 minutes. I've been running errands the whole day too, and I'm making brats and whiskey sours right now. Shut up and play.

revolead
Well, the paper is done, so I'll post it in a second. The brats are gone. But, if you drop by, I can't refuse you a whiskey sour. I also have mustard. Shut up and play.
