Reverse the Curse
Hey. Welcome to the forums. Nope, sorry don't know a thing about the guitars but I'm sure someone here can help. Just thought I'd say hi. P.S. your English is fine The forumite formerly known as Cooper. "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." zeronyne
Hi, Raven I have owned a Parker Fly Deluxe for about 6 years, and I cannot imagine a better made guitar. First, some negatives: 1) It's really light (I'm talking about the neck-through models). If you are used the the comforting weight of a Les Paul, the Fly is going to feel like your are wearing nothing but a strap. 2) The neck is really thin. The fretboard is a fairly standard width, but the carbon reinforced neck is about half the thickness of a strat neck. Again, if you are used to regular guitar necks, it may take some adjustment. 3) It ships with a gig bag. I think that any guitar that retails for over $2000 should automatically come with a hardshell case. 4) The Dimarzios on this model (deluxe) seem a bit anemic, but keep in mind that my favorite pickups are the Invaders, which almost distort without a preamp. Apart from these negatives, I think the Fly Deluxe is one of the best guitars being made, and it's definitely the best guitar that does not follow the traditional Fender/Gibson mold. The neck is fast and extremely easy to play, the frets are nothing short of perfect, and the piezo sounds incredible. My only regret is that I didn't get the model (I think it's the Mojo) that has single coils. The fit and finish are as good as any boutique guitar I've played, and the customer service at US Music Corp (who just bought them out) is excellent. Anyone who has 3+ high-end guitars should add one to their sonic palette, and anyone just starting out will find it one of the easiest guitars to play. The split output is really nice, especially when recording, and it sounds awesome with a modeled amp. "For instance" is not proof.
Gabriel E.
Any of the higher-end parkers are fantastic. Really cool, modern versatile guitars. I wasn't too impressed with their P-series guitars. Basically strats with odd shapes and composite necks. I found the finish and the quality of the hardware on these to be lacking. They felt cheap. g.
09, Invaders. Those things really have output, and they trade off subtlety to get it. Their resonant peak is just SO pronounced. I'm a firm believer that preamps/heads/combos should have enough gain flexibility to get massive overdrive without needing a lot of input, and that pickups with closer to classic outputs are capable of wearing any stylistic mask well. They are like accomplished actors, while Invaders are like Ronald Reagan ; } .
picker
I had a Fly Classic for acouple of years, then had to sell it 4 yers ago. I miss that thing to this day, on of the best guitars I have ever owned. It DID take some getting used to; the neck is a little wider at the nut than the other electrics I had, and it was so light I thought it was gonna just fold up on me at first. But after I got used to it, it ws absolutley wonderful. IF you can afford the price, get one. They are great! Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else. Stringking
I got the midifly,i dont use the midi part though, but its derived from the nitefly. Its all mahogany 2 tone burst,h s s,bolt on neck, plays like a dream, sounds like god, specially those singel coills, but then i dont like humbuckers that much. One of the reasons i bought this guitar is the stainless steel frets. Why dont you check the parker site and see if there s a dealer around so you can try it for your self

Jeebus
The only difference between the Deluxe and the Classic (IIRC) is the wood used in it's construction. I own a Deluxe (1997 model). It is an incredibly easy guitar to play, and most who have played one seem to agree. They have stainless steel frets, which don't wear down the way nickel frets do. Regarding the light weight, some people love it, others hate it. Ditto for the sound. Something to be aware of is that year 2000 Deluxes have updated stock DiMarzios, and they sound different then the pre-2000 Deluxes. Zero, When I ordered my Deluxe I asked them to ship it in a hardshell, and they charged me the difference. It cost a bit more, but it was worth it. (They ended up sending it in a gig bag by mistake, but sent me the hardshell case as well, letting me keep the gig bag)

Since then, the donuts are being pre-fabricated and shipped out from the warehouses, rather than being baked in-store. Tim Hortons has now fallen below Krispy Kreme, on my personal donut rating scale.

EoS
I own 2 - a Fly Deluxe I bought in 97 or 98, and a NiteFly SA (Swamp Ash with S-S-H config). I LOVE them both. I think the weight and neck depth (or lack there of) is a positive, not negatives. Yeah, it's a bit weird at first, but once your used to it everything else feels like playing a 2x4. good luck on your quest...
