Beatnik
Hey, I read in a book that Jimi Hendrix recorded an album with Arthur Lee in 1970 when his band Love was on their first british tour; and only one track has been released. Have you ever heard something about it? "Creo en la Reflexión, no en Dogmas" Beatnik
BillWelcome Home Studios
I've never heard it. Kinda curious.... I dig "Love". Noodlesbad
Hendrix did work on sessions with Lee (and Stephen Stills) in March 1970 - this from the Hendrix bio at http://www.inet.hr/~abubalo/biogrphy/biogrphy.html The track in question is "The Everlasting First", which appeared on "False Start" (released on Beat Goes On in 2001). Hendrix is credited as both guitarist and arranger. I don't have the album, so this is all hearsay on my part: "False Start" is alleged to be a hit and miss affair, but with some very Hendrixy guitar by Gary Rowles. Hendrix also worked with Lee on a Rose Lee Brooks single in 1965. National Capital Rock
