Philip OKeefe
Sorry for starting yet another stompbox thread... but does anyone have one of these? Thoughts? Since it has a compressor (supposedly based on the old Ross and Dynacomp circuits) as well as a TS-808 Tubescreamer based OD (with a bass boost switch), it sounds like it might be right up my alley. The Radial Tonebone Classic is also on my "try it out" list, as are the Keeleys - if I can find one of either nearby. So if anyone has a Route 66, or has tried one, please chime in with your opinion - and thanks in advance!
picker
I have had a couple of them, and they are okay. I liked the compressor much better than the overdrive, but a friend on mine has one that he modified and the overdrive on it sounds pretty great. He contacted the Visual Sound folks, and spoke with the guy who designed it, told him what he wanted it to sound like, and the guy told him to change out a resistor or two, and it worked. I guess the designer guy is really accomodating. Anyway, they are pretty neat. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else. Philip OKeefe
Thanks Picker - would you say the OD sounds like a TS-808?
