maketin
Hello everyone! Can anyone advice me of how to tune the guitar´s intonation with a digital tuner? I mean the intonation between the 12th fret fretted string amd the 12th fret "flute sound"!? Thanks so very much for all of you! picker
One needs to play either an open note on the sring(just pluck it without pressing the string against a fret) or a harmonic (the 12th fret "flute tone" you mentioned) and tune the string till it is at the correct pitch. Then, press the string against the 12th fret and check your tuner. IF the tuner reads the note of the 12th fret as flat (below pitch) you need to adjust the saddle piece of the bridge closer to the nut to shorten the string. If it reads out sharp, you need to adjust the saddle piece further from the nut to lengthen the string. That;'s how it works. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
