cosmo115
Any suggestions??? FYI I received the physical gift certificate and it has my name on it and if I recall correctly, I believe it said it was "non-transferable". Thanks in advance. Werewolf by Night
Software? Strings (lots of 'em)? That Fender/Maguire's guitar care cleaning/polishing system and strings (lots of 'em)? Some of those high-end, pricey cables? (Tell us if you can hear a difference.) Pickups? Pedals? Strings (lots of 'em)? BillWelcome Home Studios
I just spent $100 on Groove Tubes. There are a lot of places where in your rig, if you look around, you could throw $100 on useful things. When was the last time that you changed your tubes? What about a direct box? That cool headphone practice amp? That Tascam guitar/learning tool/CD player? Mic cables? Guitar stands? Pop filter? Shannon
Well, what do you need?? Basically what Caeven said. If you wants some effects to play with get a pedal. Have you been thinking about getting new pups?? If you don't need anything, just get some strings... you always need those... or picks or cleaning products... new cable is a good idea... how about a slide? tuner? microphone? You could just get a bunch of little stuff to keep you from having to pay for maintenance for a while. How much do violin bows cost???

Strings (lots of 'em)?Software - I was going the software route originally and then I said how much will I use or really need the software, especially when there's free software out there (FYI my favorite price) that will be sufficient for my modest needs. Strings and Cables - I bought an extra set of DR Pure Blues when I got my LP set-up and for the amount that I play, I don't see when I'll be needing that set. Same goes for cables. Pickups - is a possibility, but Sweetwater has a surprisingly limited pickup selection for my LP. Originally posted by revolead: Boss pedal?Unfortunately I don't have my old Marshall or a tube amp anymore. I just have my trusty Roland Cube 15 and my DigiTech RP80, which serves all my sound purposes. Thanks for your suggestions too, Bill and Shannon! But as you can see, I'm in quite a quandary. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_12_3.gif http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_4_102.gif I can have a lottery. Entrants just have to send me $10 and if they win, I'll buy the item(s) they want and have them shipped directly from Sweetwater. OK.... maybe not. If I played as much as you forumites or if I had a band, the $100 would have been spent shortly after Sweetwater called and said I won, but I of course have to make things difficult. Dave da Dude
I think that a long wanted stomp box would be the best (even if you have to kick in a little of your own money). You'll remember it a lot better than a bunch of little junk. Software ain't a bad idea, but it will be replaced within a year or two. Hmm, possibly true of the stomp box too I suppose.
