Seriously, I can send you a blank DVD. I just got his "Blue Eyes" CD a couple of weeks ago, which is a little departure from the gypsy jazz he usually does. This guy is amazing. One of my all-time favorites. Paul

Funk Jazz
oh yeah, if you get a chance Paul, check out Bireli's live in Marciac. it's straight ahead bop with a trio. his version of 'donna lee' is smokin'. he also does a really cool uptempo 'days of wine and roses'. He doesn't look much older than ten. I can't belive the stuff he's pulling off. I'll have to get a blank dvd and send it to you. I really dig Louis & Raphael Fays. Humbling stuff. http://b-cordova.dmusic.com/

musicalhair
Have you guys heard Jimmy Rosenberg? He's got some wicked gypsy jazz type stuff. Oh, BTW our own Mr. FunkJazz snuck a new sig-- new to me anyway-- at the end of his posts and he's got some great tunes up on the internet. check out some comedy I've done: http://louhasspoken.tumblr.com/ My Unitarian Jihad Name: Brother Broadsword of Enlightened Compassion. Funk Jazz
jimmy and stochelo are both amazing, but i kind of prefer stochelo. they had a group at one point called Sinti, but it only lasted one disc. they were really young, like high school age. the rosenburg trio (stochelo) is a premiere gypsy band nowadays. now jimmy (after a stint in prison for heroin) is playing with a swedish mofro in a group called hot club du suede.
