Big Red 67
Has anyone used the expression pedal with the line 6 delay? Big Red's Ride Blog
Dr.Fuzz
Yes..... it's good for doing morphs. I prefer it on the Line 6 mod & filter pedals more tho. drfuzz "I'm just here to regulate the funkiness"

Teahead
The DL4 really opens up with the expression pedal. Not just tape swoops and pitch bending via delay time... You can actually set two completely different delay tones, within the same model and use the exp. pedal to blend betwen the two. Giving six presets rather than three! Really versatile stuff. Although it is a piece of plastic junk if the truth be told! Mine broke in about week and I had to do a repair job. Tea. Pedal Clips
Big Red 67
I just wish I had two expression pedals for it. Yes I am quite mad! Big Red's Ride Blog
picker
Had the delay and modulator pedals, sold them off after a few months. The output is not adjustable, and I got a very noticeable volume drop when the effects were engaged (both in front of the amp and in the effects loop) out of both pedals. Nice sounds, loved the programability and availability or more than one preprogrammed sound out of each pedal, but the volume drop was a big pain. Try the Digitech X Pedal Delay. Not as versatile, but more usable and much less expensive. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
Teahead
Exactly the reason why I dropped my DL4. At full band volume the output almost always seemed to drop when the effect was engaged. With extreme attenuation to the signal, it really srtips low end and causes, what I term, a harshness to inhabit the top end. In the end I put this down to the digital procesor "thinning" the signal. At the time the DL4 was the only digital pedal I had and it stuck out like a sore thumb in practice. I have an Ibanez AD80 and a Maxon AD999, both analog delays and they sound infinitely better than the Line 6. That versatility and looper function is unparalleled though. Great practice tool. Tea. Big Red 67
Mine doesn't do that. If I set the delay short the volume rises. It rises alot if I have the old mastro phaser in front of it. Big Red's Ride Blog

With a little short delay at home, my amp increased in volume, but the same settings at full band levels, it didn't seem to change volume at all, just tone. I think I may have the old tapes lying around somewhere from when I recorded it. I wanted the chance to listen for myself and the "Clip" light on my recording never budged an inch when the DL4 came on, even though the sound changed considerably. None the less, excellent tool, like all the Line 6 modelers, they are great value for money. Tea. Pedal Clips
