zeronyne
...Especially the "G" moniker Here's the deal. I'm going to buy a limited edition Epiphone that has a graphic that is a dead ringer for my daughter (and the character has the same name). Anyway, It's a G-310, which I thought was a decent model, but this guitar sells for only $300.00. Is this the crappiest model with just some custom graphics on it? "For instance" is not proof. Mudcat
So how is Emily? (I assume your daughter isn't named Strange! ). I haven't played one of these, but from what I know about Epiphone, you should be getting a pretty decent instrument at $300. I would think this would be especially true on a limited edition model like the one you are getting. I suspect you may need to have it set up, as Epi set up is hit or miss coming out of the factory. cosmo115
Here are two reviews for the G-310. #1 and #2 It appears that you're only paying $100 extra for the artwork. Considering the likeness to a certain person, I'm sure its worth MUCH more.

fantasticsound
"G" is simply the standard model name for SG's in the Epi line-up. As you can see, there are some variations that are unique enough that Epi decided to give them uniquie names. Some based on specific characteristics and some by their association with a specific quality level. The latter exemplified by the Elitist SG, part of a full Elitist line. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd

Yes, it is Emily, and although she's only two, she's getting that weird "Tuesday Addams" vibe about her sometimes. Anyway, THANKS SO MUCH to all of you. The links and advice were exactly what I needed. "For instance" is not proof.
