alanfc
OK this is a request for help,,, looking for MP3s or sites that have A Capella Rock vocals. 2nd choices would be barbershop quartet, gospel, or anything else.. I'm trying to educate our bass player about locking in a vocal harmony. You know that waves you hear when you tune your guitar with harmonics? ---I'm telling the bassist he can hear that too when vocal harmonies are tonally =on=. Or rather , when they drift into that tonal perfection.. Like barbershop quartet- how the notes ring? Or some old Eagles tune I can t remember(!) Even though its just voices ? bla blah blah OK so Anyway , I Googled hi & lo and wasn't very satisfied,,, Anyone have sites, links etc to good vocal sites with A Capella vocals? thanks Rivera + Fender Strat
A String
I don't have any links for you, but I can offer some advice. Figure out the harmony part on your guitar and then teach it to your bass player. Tell him not to think of it as a harmony part but rather to think of it as a lead line. Have him practive his part over the song on his own keeping in mind that his part is the lead line. after he has gone over it enough, (Assuming he sings in tune), the harmony part should be dead on and he should have no problems with drifting out. Once again...Think of all harmony parts as lead lines! Craig Stringnetwork on Facebook String Network Forum My Music
