cosmo115
As you may know $100 sweepstakes gift certificate from Sweetwater.com landed on my lap last night and the great Stratasaurus recommended some Cakewalk software. Has anyone used Cakewalk Home Studio 2004 or Cakewalk Home Studio Version 2 ? If so, please let me know your feedback and opinions on its user friendliness, usefulness, things you can do with it etc. Thanks!!
Bbach1
You know Cosmo, I've looked at that software but I haven't done anything about evaluating it. I hear it's good stuff. bbach Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.
Shoes
I haven't played with any of it but I've been reading about Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3 which provides a 32 track studio and all the effects and crapola you'd likely need for under $100. Guitar Tracks Pro 3 Review It looks impressive... for whatever that's worth. I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.

Shoes
Okay... I see that. I was looking at the last version and I had $70 for it and version 3 is just shipping now. It's great to have the newest version, given they go old so fast , but the previous release was just as feature packed. The layout and controls suit the way my head works. That's what I liked mosty about it. Can't say I expected that price jump I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.
A String
"Cakewalk" Rocks! After a miriad of problems with "Cubase", I started using "Cakewalk". For me, it's "Cakewalk" for multitracking and "SoundForge" for mastering. It's all I'll use.
