Turn off the avatars or learn to live with it.

Some of them bug the shit out of me too but I put up with them.

Shit, I'm in here for the long run.

You know... it's even funnier that you should mention that you are epileptic- NOT that it's funny... BUT, I was going to make a sarcastic comment that epileptics should beware of the flashing avatars. But then I thought, I had better not in case someone IS epileptic. I didn't want to offend anyone.

Quite ironic. I'm sure glad I didn't make the comment.

Peace :)

Ya you can hide them, you can likely hide everything if you tried hard enough.

If they move to quickly for me to pick out what's there I just ignore them but it's good to have a handle on who's writing so hiding them might be a little bothersome if you like to avoid particular individual's posts. (like mine perhaps! :D )

So.. an easy solution is to have your calculator open and then just place it over the offending imagery until you move on to the next post.

You could also try duct tape.

I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.

BTW, if my avatar really bothers you, just let me know. I'll have A String get rid of the flashing lights because I know that you really don't want to turn off your avatars.

But, there is another option you can try:

- from your "start menu" go to "settings"

- click on "control panel"

- click on "internet options"

- click on "advanced"

- scoll down to "multimedia"

- uncheck "play animation in web pages"

At least with this, you will still be able to see the avatars, but without the animation.

Peace :)

It's cool, BiC

I've not had a seizer in about a year and a half, so i'm not worried about that at all. It's just one of my eye's seem to wonder over to see the avatar while my other eye's still trying to read. :freak::confused:

I used a program called animator. Turns still photos into animated .gifs. Of course, I had to use a photo manipulation program to cut and paste Domino's paw and my mini Les Paul. ;)

It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman
