Is it mahogany bodied, or is it made of something else? My mahogany bodied, 25.5" scale bolt necked Epiphone Del Rey sounds awesome with the Invader in the bridge slot. :thu:

I planted a Seymour Duncan JB pickup @ the bridge of my Epiphone SG model and a Jazz 20 at the neck... it's been my favourite axe ever since (although it seems to sound quite a bit brighter then my other guitarsies).

The JB is a bright pickup, and I guess that's why I like it so much. The Invader is slightly darker but with a lot more output and sounds more hi-fi.

I played an Plexiglas Dan Armstrong many years ago.

It wasn't mine...the other guitar player in the band had it.

It was set up for slide...and I would play it on a couple of tune only.

That mother was heavier than the heaviest Les Paul!!! :D

The Plexiglas guitars don't have all the wood overtones....because it's a homogeneous substance...uniform and pretty stable.

I like that Dan Armstrong...cool looking guitar.

Not something you would play all night...but it's great for a couple of tunes.

Hmmm...I like both the LP and the Flying V that they have...just never heard of "Grand" guitars before….???

I may consider it...for those prices.

But right now, I have another guitar burning a hole in my brain!!!

The new…re-issued…Hagstrom Swede!!!

I got the preliminary catalog...and I just have to have one.

I bought my original Swede just about 30 years ago...so I think it's time for a new one…my 30-year Anniversary Swede!!!

They should be available in the early fall form what I found out.

MSRP is $850 for the Super Swede…$750 for the Swede.

I'll post up some specs on both Swedes…and some pics …n the next couple of days...have to scan them in from the catalog.

Oh…they also have a big hollow body…a solid body…and a couple of others too.

Those are fantastic. The first one I saw was Lou Reed's Dan Armstrong and I couldn't get over how perfect the picture of him with that guitar seemed.

This is what drew me to the drums as a kid when I saw an orange set of these in a local music shop.

You'd just need a babe in a vinyl suit up front singin' and the matching keyboards!

Clearly Rock & Roll! :D

I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.

Uh Oh! That looks an aweful lot like a PRS Singlecut! Or is it a Les Paul? I'm so confused. Is that Gibson's legal department I hear? :freak:

That would be a clear vinyl suit, of course. ;)
