Cowbell
Mixed feelings. The body looks too wide for me. I love both styles of inlays though. The one on the left needs another 'bucker. The ne on the right needs another volume and tone knob.
zeronyne
You're missing the point. If they had an extra humbucker, a thinner body, and another volume and tone, it would just be another Les Paul. "For instance" is not proof.
Cowbell
True my friend. I'm just a Les Paul guy I suppose. I suppose its not meant for me.
Mark Zeger
OK, I don't get it. L4S MSRP: $4,024 L5S MSRP: $5,444, for maple top, gold hardware, nicer binding, & ebony fingerboard but only 1 pickup? It would make sense for the cheaper L4S to be the one pickup model and put it in the neck position. Then, market both models as a jazz-oriented guitars, like Bob Benedetto's Benny models. Guitar Geezer
well...it is the Custom and Historice division The new L-5S features a single humbucking and Ebony finish, like the custom model played by Keith Richards, along with.... I can see them introducing another spin-of f with a 6 way varitone switch (ala BB's Lucille) etc....etc....etc.... But wider and thinner sounds interesting...never got to touch one of the originals ( beside, I SURE don't have $5K) Lynn G

miroslav
Hey Cowbell... ...love you avatar!!! I really dig that movie "That Thing You Do". Liv Tyler is so yuuuuuuuummmmmmyyyyyyy... ...and it brings back some memories of the early 60's that are always enjoyable for me. miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important."
