PeeMonkey
OK, I don't know what is wrong with me but ahhhhhhhhhhhhh my head is going to blow up. I feel like selling my guitars off to buy "THE ONE" guitar which will make it all go away but it keeps jumping back and forth with keeping it and selling it, and im just about to explode. I am very impatient with things and carelessly do stupid things because of being impatient. Well hopefully my trip to Thailand this summer will clear my mind before I go crazy. Don't know what Ill do with 1 month of no guitar but hopefully it'll help... The problem im having right now is I like both the strat bodies AND the les paul ones but can't choose. Currently I am not feeling comfortable playing my Stratocaster since I have always been playing an Ibanez Wizard neck. I have been really considering getting a Les Paul but don't know yet. The one guitar right now im drawn into every aspect of it is the Steve Vai Sig Guitar, the JEM, made by ibanez, Tried it out the other day, very nice, great feel, has the nice ibanez wizardy neck (great for my fingers) nice tones too. SUCKS to have MONEY! When I had no money for any equipment I just stuck with one guitar, now im just getting greedy! WoW I think im just babbling on and on forever, sorry for whoever is reading this Just need to blow off some steam.
SuperFreak
Buy the JEM. In fact, buy a lot of them. I've never played a bad one, and my old fluro yellow one still plays great despite all the crap I've put it through. How can we fight ignorance and apathy? Who knows! Who cares! Werewolf by Night
You can get a Warmoth neck for your Strat with the "Wizard"-style shape and even still have the same Fender Strat-shaped headstock (liscenced by Fender to Warmoth) made of just about any kind of wood that you want. You could get it with the fretboard radius (amount of curvature) that you want, including Warmoth's "Compound Radius", wich starts with a 10" rad at the nut and 1st-fret, and winds up with a 16" rad at the 22nd-fret, getting "flatter" as you go up the neck. HIGHLY recommended! Go to their 'site and look around...
