Hendmik
I'm married to a psycho therapist. Finally, a movie we're both dying to see. Compact Diss
I'm sure it's better than that Moore trash that's out there.... I'm really excited to see it. I have been a not so loyal fan of Metallica. I think they are great, their music is great. I was put off by them when they got into the whole Napster thing--anyway I'm excited to see a bunch of millionaires sitting around talking about their problems... "Can't we all just get a long??" Base
At first I thought it sounded awful, Metallica getting touchy feely, but after reading a bit more about it, it does sound genuinely interesting, knda like the 'year and a half in the life of' videos they put out years ago, but more in-depth. Doubt it'll get a cinema release over here tho But Micheal Moore has and I'll be off to see that tomorrow, sorry diss...! Maybe it will be eventually. Gabriel E.
I'm TOTALLY going to see that. Supposed to be hilarious. What is interesting is that they did all this therapy and interventions, etc. and then made a really shitty record. Hendmik
Yeah, I thought St. Anger's quality was pretty bad too. But none the less, I look forward to sripping them of their rock star image. Removing the Holywood aspect from anything is a good thing. Just praying for relatively few Spinal Tap moments in this documentary. And where are the Colorado release listings?!? Grr! Guitar Geezer
Maybe they'll put it on the IFC Cable channel James Hetfield clean and sober? Maybe that's what went off the track with St Anger (Calm down...just a joke.....not dissing him for cleaning up his act...(good thing) but sounds like they had too much on their individual plates ) to even think about an album! Gabriel E.
It's not being released in New Orleans until NOVEMBER 19!!!! WTF? I'll probably be the last person on the forum to see it. The film will probably gross a total of $20 million. So you can see how doing a mass release like Spider-Man would quickly destroy their profit potential. Even getting one print into every major city at once, would cost over a million just to copy. True Indi film makers who can only afford 1-2 prints, tend to travel with the film, city to city, trying to promote it. The cool thing, is usually on opening night, you know the director is somewhere in the theater with you. The downside is, that once a print has been used for a few months, it gets pretty beat up; scratched, taped, torn, etc. Come November, it's going to look pretty rough unless they fund another print.
