coyote
Any of you know how these items are made? The bridgeplate: is it thick sheetmetal which is bent and drilled - or is it cast? The current saddles: are they milled from bar stock, or are they cast? I used to think I was Libertarian. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football. Gabriel E.
Looks to me like the baseplates on both the vintage and American Standard units are bent and drilled (although the baseplate on the modern unit is thicker). The vintage saddles were definitely stamped. The new saddles appear to be milled.
