Compact Diss
Check out my photo's at this link. If anyone is interested PM for the site address or I guess you would be able to follow my link. It hosts pictures for free and I believe you can upload up to 2000 a month--free. I know there are a bunch of people around who appreciate photography, here are some of mine.... http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v343/blu2200/126_2666.jpg http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v343/blu2200/137_3777.jpg http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v343/blu2200/a864ee82.jpg http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v343/blu2200/134_3411_4.jpg http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v343/blu2200/134_3407_4.jpg http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v343/blu2200/131_3184_2.jpg Sorry about posting all the links, my original msg had linked to my password protected section--anyway here a some--I guess there is no way for me to give access to an entire photo album. Anyway, Enjoy!
Base
Cool! I love close-up pictures, really liked the one that I assume is splintered wood(?) I've hardly picked up my camera this year But I've put a lot of my pics on here (web site is ALSO something I need to work on this year!) BiC
Great close ups, guys! My Wife & I both like photography and go out together taking pics every so often. Here's a link to a few of my weather photos. Nothing spectacular, but cool nonetheless: CLICK Peace "Treat your wife with honor, respect, and understanding as you live together so that you can pray effectively as husband and wife." 1 Peter 3:
Dave da Dude
All real nice stuff guys Compact Diss, I too like your close up of the splintered wood Base, your intro page is most impressive. BiC, Are you the meteorologist? You could sell your clouds to BC Rich for a template for their fretboard inlays My personal best is (I can't post) a shot of the Parthenon (yes, the real one) at night from a hill almost the same height accross the street bathed in white (shows kinda' yellow). Ectachrome 64 w/ Vivitar 70-150 Zoom 'n "matched" 2x, at about f5.6 at 30 second exposure, on a tripod of course. I had it cropped an inch or two from each side (on an 8 x 10) and then blown up to a 16 x 20. The large magnification caused the grainess to show, but in an antique gold frame (3 - 4 inches wide) it looks great,IMHO, like a parchment painting (not planned ). Dave the Used to be Photographer Gotta' geetar... got the amp. There must be SOMEthing else I... "need".

A String
Great photos! I've always loved photography. I used to have a B/W darkroom in the basement when I was younger. Still have the developer, but now it's digital for me! No more chemicals! Craig Stringnetwork on Facebook String Network Forum My Music
Compact Diss
Base we must have talked about photo's before because I remember viewing your site previously. Bic, nice photo's. I used to take pics of clouds everywhere I went with the hopes of eventually making a coffee table books of clouds...plus I was making a book of my kids...plus plus plus... Dave you gotta scan that photo! A String, I have all the old tools too but I can't seem to get away from the digital-- Ok, I'm going to change the title of the thread to the official/unoffical players photo thread--if no one minds--I'd like to keep this going. I'm off on vacation this week to the White Mountains of NH so I hope to have many pics when I get back.
A String
Here are a few of mine. I figured BIC would like the pollution one as it really shows how low a pressure zone can keep things. Tedster
Cool shots, all...kudos to the holly shot and the "old New England house by the bay" from Compact...and the "angles" tree shade pic from A String. And BTW...A String, I also like the "pollution" and "open mine" shots. Funny thing about photography, it can show the beauty in ugliness as well. Compact Diss
A String you must spend a lot of time in high places...I like the angles and winter scene. The pollution is cool also. The house in my pic above was taken in Rockport MA, and the shredded wood was actually a tree they cut down in my area to make room for a bank... Here are some more... A String
Another great batch! I love the one on the beach! That's a great lens you have there, what kind of camera? I'd love to do more of the macro shots but all I could afford was a crummy kodak digital with no focus. Someday... A photo of an old withered European woman...but you can see the beauty of serenity in her eyes. That sort of thing. You're right though. All we see from that picture is what we interpret as "ugliness" in a sideshow sort of way. The photo doesn't allow us (that I'm aware) to know these apparent twin brothers. Who are they? Are they criminals? Perhaps not. Saw a special on TV a few months back about two sisters who were conjoined twins. "Siamese twins" if you will. Joined at the head. Inseparable. Joined in such a way that one, who had no use of her legs, was on a wheeled cart...her sister had to wheel her around constantly. They were not pretty to look at. Not in our definition of "pretty". One had to get to know them throught the TV show to see that they each possessed beauty of a different nature. My favorite "Twilight Zone" and "Night Gallery" episodes were those that dealt with our notions and prejudices concerning what we call "beauty". I went here as a kid with my dad every time we travelled this road and I'd watched the tiny trucks circle their way out of the pit from the bottom. Years later after it closed the me and the members of the band went in through the fence and climbed the piles of rock. Wally slid across a not so frozen mud puddle and sank to his waist. Mud puddle from a Yuke truck that is! Cool pictures I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.

I'm up there about once a month now. BTW the water in the mine is now over several hundred feet deep. (Have to check the pics of the info board to get the exact amount).
