Teahead
What history can that 1960 LP Standard have, to justify the $140,000 price tag? I'm presuming either it has been owned by one or two "famous folks" or else it must be "Mint!" Right? Or does that particular model actually carry such an asking price? Tea. My dad sent me a newspaper article a few months ago - he lives in the greater Lehigh Valley area where Martin is based. There was some thought that the one millionth guitar should have been a standard issue model that ended up in some players hand through normal retail, but they decided to go the custom route and have some fun. fantasticsound
Sorry, I bought my powerball ticket last week in Nashville. Now had I bought it somewhere in South Carolina, I'd have bought several of those instruments including the 1960! (Then I would have taken several months to figure out what else to buy with $65,000,000. (Pre-tax...) It's easiest to find me on Facebook.
