njrocker
FMIC(fender) owns Benedtto now! What the crap? I was looking forward to owning a Benedetto when I'm 50 and rich, but now that Fender owns em, who knows whats gonna happen! What scares me is Fender's "mass produce everything" policy. Please don't destroy Benedetto!!

dougsthang
If you haven't noticed yet and you still want one I guess Fender's doing OK. They've owned Benedetto for awhile. overheard street personality on Venice Beach "Man, that Bullshit is Bulllshhittt...."
njrocker
ive never really played one, just heard em. on recordings, and one of the guys in a local jazz band has one. how long ago did this happen?
Caevan O’Shite
I don't think they're going to ruin anything there; if you still want a "real" Benedetto, and can afford one, they'll probably still be most excellent. They may bring some more "affordable" Benedettos to market (probably already have, I just haven't bothered to follow), and I expect they will still be pretty damn good guitars. southpawstrat
Fender takes good care off this kind of stuff. I'm sure they will still be the same guitars, with perhaps some other models on the line.
