madgrinder
The previously mentioned Dillion LP goldtop (which will get a Bigsby). The store owner called me at work to tell me he got a Dillion Korina "V" natural finish, and said it plays and sounds great! decisions, decisions.... ALWAYS wanted a V, but the goldtop would be more practical. I got a practice with my bandmates tomorrow nite, so I'll ask them, too. ...it's Mr Stabby, da da da da da daaaah, da da da da da da daaaah... Lonnie Mack's '67 V looked pretty weird to me with that hinged metal strap he installed to hold up the back end of Bigsby he put on it. But different stokes for different folks... madgrinder
I am going to leave the "V" without a trem, the Bigsby was only to go on the Goldtop. You're right, a Bigsby on a V would be awful. ...it's Mr Stabby, da da da da da daaaah, da da da da da da daaaah...
madgrinder
Went to the guitar store and played both. The Dillion LP goldtop P90 wins hands-down. The resonance and sound with it unplugged is incredible!!!! BONUS!!!!...the store owner said if I bought the Dillion and the Bigsby from him, he would install the trem and do the full set up for free. (I was pretty uncomfortable drilling holes in a new guitar...). ...it's Mr Stabby, da da da da da daaaah, da da da da da da daaaah...

NMcGuitar
Cool. Good choice, madgrinder. I've always thought V's were pretty cool guitars, but they are fairly impractical. Ever try to play one sitting down? Also their tone tends to be a little thin in general (which is fine if that's what you want it for, but it limits your options). I think the LP with the Bigsby will give you a good bit of versatility, and it sounds like you really liked it better overall. Way to go! Don't forget to post some pix of it as soon as you can!!
