TeleCarlos
Alrighty then, I got my first decent acoustic / electric today. Used, of course, from a friend. It's a Takamine EG 330 HC. Don't know much about it but just read some reviews on Harmony Central and its OK I guess. Haven't even heard it thou (gulp!) since it was in storage with no strings. Got for $250 so I'm hoping it was good deal. So: I need to glue the nut back on so what's the appropriate glue? I have a copy of the Dan Erlewine book, but this is easier. The bridge bone thing is off and broken. StewMac has a few replacements but which is better and which size? I'll probably go with the Tusk by Graph tECH. Anyway, if any Takamine experts out there, Need your input!!! Thanks!
dave251
Use yellow or white glue...just a touch....for the nut. Takamine usually has a bone saddle. Measure the thickness; I believe they use a 3/32; Tusq is usually recommended for a UST...I still prefer bone, but it's harder to work with regarding string to string output from the pickup. TeleCarlos
Double thanks to you my friend!!! I'll have to wait to score a Epiphone Sheraton next week before I order parts for both guits. I should also order replacements for this stuff shouldn't I? Thanks again!!!
